It is with great sadness that we are informing you of the death of Kristel Close, a teacher in our school. 

Madame Close was a French Immersion teacher here at LBP for the past decade. Her positive attitude and love of education were appreciated by the staff and students who had the privilege of knowing her. She was involved in many activities including environmental initiatives and leading the LBP Kodaly Choir at the Center in the Square.

Our thoughts are with the Close family during this difficult time.

In honour of Madame Close, the flags at Lester B Pearson and the Waterloo Region District School Board will be flown at half-mast from December 14 – 23.
