In an effort to ensure the safety of students and staff, in-person learning in 2/3A-FI at LBP will be closed on Thursday April 14, 2022.

This closure is due to staff shortages. Unfortunately, we are not able to secure enough staff to safely operate this class on that date. We are hopeful that the classroom teacher will be able to return to work after the Easter break.

This closure affects 2/3A-FI only. Those parents were informed late yesterday via School Day. The school will remain open to all other classes.

What does this mean for students in the class?

Students in 2/3A-FI should not come to school on Thursday, April 14, 2022. They may return to school on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Families and students can also access learning materials via the WRDSB@Home website and the Short Term Virtual Learning website (Note: students will need to use their board email to access). Families are also reminded that students may access additional learning opportunities through TV Ontario’s TVO Learn and Télévision française de l’Ontario (TFO). TVO Mathify is also available to provide additional mathematics support for students in Grades 4-11, including 1:1 tutoring.

The school has a device distribution plan for those families who require a device. Please contact the school if you are in need of a device.

Tech@Home is available to help families troubleshoot any technical issues with board-issued devices.
