Lester B. Pearson School’s Grade 8 Graduation will take place at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Road, Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27th 2018. Close family members are welcome to attend and celebrate with the graduates. Programs will be available at the door. Special thanks to L.B.P. School Council for providing financial support for graduation. We trust that it will be a memorable and enjoyable occasion for all!

Graduates are asked to be at the church by 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27th. Graduates will gather in a room off the foyer upon arrival.

Graduates are encouraged to dress in a manner that is appropriate for their age and the occasion. There is no need to purchase suit coats and elaborate dresses. Limousines are strongly discouraged.

Following the graduation ceremony, students will return to the school for a dance (graduates only, please). A light snack will be served. The dance will conclude promptly at 10:30 p.m. We ask that students are picked up at this time. To ensure everyone gets home safely, graduates will not be permitted to walk home without adult accompaniment.

To prepare for this event, a dress rehearsal for graduates will take place at L.B.P. during the afternoon of Tuesday, June 26th. (It is very important for all graduates to attend school on this day).

On Thursday, June 28th, we will hold a special BBQ lunch for our graduates. There is no cost for students. Graduates will also be recognized on this day at a whole school assembly. It is tradition for graduates to wear or change into their graduation outfits for the morning assembly. They may change into regular school clothes once the assembly is complete. All students are expected to be at school as usual. Students that have pre-ordered composite photos will receive them on Thursday, June 28th.
