Screen Free Week Events
Make note that our Screen Free week is the first week in May. A number of exciting family events are being planned as an alternative to watching TV, or playing video games.

April 30th -Build Your Best Day
Kick-off Screen Free week by attending the LBP Build Your Best Day event On Monday April 30th to learn more about Canada’s 24-hour movement guidelines by participating in activities related to the Sit, Step and Sweat components of the guideline. Registration begins at 5:45. Between 6:30 and 7:30 families can have fun participating in a selection of activities that will require you to sit, step and maybe even sweat. We hope to see there!

Author Jo Ellen Bogart visiting LBP May 1st, 6pm
Heart and Head: An Author Explores the Adventure of Reading The Health and Wellness Committee of L.B.P’s School Council invites all of our L.B.P. families to come out for our Heart and Head: An Author Explores the Adventure of Reading, free event!

L.B.P will be hosting Jo Ellen Bogart, Guelph author for young readers, who will be speaking to parents and students, followed by a Q and A session, and book signing on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the gymnasium/library.
Jo Ellen’s books, both fiction and non-fiction, demonstrate her appreciation of many topics. In her talk, she will share some of her work and explain how both reading and writing have been, for her, wonderful experiences of learning and feeling. A listing of her books appears on her website, www.joellenbogart@rogers.com. You are welcome to bring any of her wonderful works to the event to be signed, or there will be an opportunity after the presentation to purchase books and have them signed as well.

Wednesday May 2nd-Scavenger Hunt
Wednesday May 2nd from 6:00 to 730pm, LBP’s Health and Wellness Committee invites you and your family out for some scavenger hunting fun.

The scavenger hunt will have hunts based at varying degrees of difficulty for different grades from JK to grade 8, so that all students can participate in this event. If you would like to join us please RSVP below and meet us in the school lobby on the day of the hunt.

This is a great opportunity to get out and have some family fun for Screen Free Week!

Thursday May 3rd- STEAM Night

The week culminates in the STEAM night on May 3rd from 7-9pm at the school. We have the return of favourites like the Tinker truck, Mindful Makers, robotics and many exciting math, engineering and art activities too. We are having a silent auction as well. We hope you can attend!
